Achieves True Day-One Readiness by Overhauling Account Provisioning
Redondo Beach Unified School District
0stlargest district in CA
Redondo Beach wished to improve learning outcomes by ensuring educators and scholars were given access to all the resources they needed for success from the very beginning of the school year.
Disparate information systems made for idiosyncratic workflows that prolonged the provisioning process, delaying staff and student access to applications and digital textbooks not only at the start of the school year, but at the beginning of each new terms as well.
Enboard’s Account & Resource Provisioning integrates smoothly with Active Directory as well as HR and student information systems to orchestrate communication between platforms, consolidating the workflows required to make resources readily accessible.
The Redondo Beach IT team saw account and resource provisioning times drastically reduced and were able to achieve day-one readiness. This recaptured time was devoted to other start-of-school tasks, increasing the team’s overall productivity.
With the initial work of Enboard implementation completed, the Redondo Beach IT team expects the beginning of the following school year to go even more smoothly. Providing educators with early resource access gives them more opportunity to incorporate EdTech tools into their course designs and lesson plans.
Summary from the Team
“Getting student class materials out in a reasonable time has been an issue since migrating to online textbooks. I have gradually seen the time decrease, but this year [with Enboard] we had all our established materials/apps pushed out so fast, teachers weren’t even ready for them.”
